Materials used in this chapter were published in the book Biopesticide Albit for increasing yields and protection of agricultures against diseases, A.K. Zlotnikov, Ed. Prof. À. Melkumova. All-Russia Institute of Plant Protection, Russia, 2006.

Influence of Albit on table beet was examined in 3 field trials in 2 regions of Russia (Moscow and Leningrad oblasts) by All-Russia Institute of Vegetable Selection and Seed Breeding, and Leningrad Regional Plant Protection Station (2001, 2003) on beet variety Bordeaux. According to results of the trials, tratment with Albit increased yield of table beet averagely by 24.3 centners/hectare (14.7% over control). In conducted trials, economical or biological effectiveness of Albit was not inferior to that of formulations based on epibrassinolide and chelated microelements.

Treatment of table beet with Albit should be performed in accordance with general application recommendations for vegetables.
